The jungle zone on the festival site

Nerdland Festival

Nerdland

Themed zones across the festival site, with more than fifty exhibitors.

Zone architecture, identity, wayfinding and atmosphere for a festival that brings together science, community and exhibitors. Design and execution sat in the same hands.

Role

Production designer and site operations coordinator. I designed the zones and delivered them as well, including the coordination of exhibitors and suppliers on site.

The result

The zones

I designed the zones and how they hold together: a distinct material and colour language per zone, with wayfinding and atmosphere carried across the whole site. The exhibitor stands were fitted into that rather than placed beside it.
