A module roof is set in place by crane

De Chinezen

De Kemping

A complete television event site, built from nothing in a meadow and kept running for months.

The site had no connections. Everything had to be brought in: structure, power, water supply, drainage, access routes and daily maintenance, across a long production period.

Role

Production designer and site operations lead. I drew the site and ran it: build, suppliers, crew, external contractors and daily operation.

The result

The site

I drew the site and built it as well: modular units on stilts and an independent water supply with tanks and a pipe network instead of daily deliveries. The choices were made on maintenance, because anything that needs attention every week will not survive a production of several months.
